The Saxons and Normans went to war over metals including but not limited to gold. 

Even if gold doesn&#039;t have montary value it will have a usefullness. It&#039;s maleable and very easy to work with. 

So cups and plates could be made quite easily out of it. IF enough could be found.</description>

With the enormous debt the United States carries, it is entirely possible that the entire system could collapse. Would gold be valuable in that situation?</description>
